Norwich Castle is a wonderful example of a 12^th Norman castle that has stood the test of time remarkably well. Today it is also houses an interesting museum focusing on local Norfolk history, as well as some interesting archaeological finds.

Set in an impressive building designed by Sir Norman Foster, Art lovers should take in a visit to the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, at the University of East Anglia. Here you’ll find an art collection donated by Sir Robert and Lady Sainsbury, that was given to the university back in the early seventies. Works include African tribal sculpture, as well as works by famous names such as Picasso and Moore.

Origins is the ideal day out for all the family. At this exciting centre you get an interactive experience that takes you through 2000 years of history in an interesting and informative way, with the help of the country’s only 180 degree panoramic cinema and a 40 metre long media wall.

Many visitors staying in the Norwich area make the trip out to nearby Sandringham, the Queen’s Norfolk residence. Set in a vast 60 acres this wonderful house has plenty to excite its visitors, there are also glorious gardens to explore, a museum, gift shop and restaurant.
